A bright light has gone out, but Cala’s sweet little voice will meow for eternity. 🌟😿 Cala’s human, Elizabeth, adopted her under the impression that she was a very young kitten. However, as Cala’s health began to decline, it became apparent that she was actually around 12 years old, as indicated by the problems discovered through veterinary tests. Despite Elizabeth and the vets’ best efforts, Cala’s condition did not improve, and she ultimately passed away in Elizabeth’s arms due to old age. Elizabeth’s dedication to Cala was remarkable. By adopting Cala, she not only gave her a loving home but also shared Cala’s unique antics with the world. Cala first gained widespread attention when Toth began posting videos of her in February. One TikTok video of the orange tabby’s distinct meows went viral, amassing 2.9 million views. The video showcased Cala communicating with her owner after successfully “catching a mouse,” highlighting her charming personality. Cala brightened the lives of many, and her legacy will continue even though she is no longer with us. Elizabeth expressed her gratitude by saying, “You all have allowed Cala to live on forever, to never be forgotten for how special she is. Thank you for loving Cala as much as I have.” Rest in peace, Cala (circa 2012 – 2024).
