The Story of Mr Monch

Mr. Monch is a cat whose personality comes through in every angle. His owner, Vas (@vas_the_pirate), takes photos of him using a 360-degree camera.

On his Instagram, Monch appears from every direction — as if he lives in a world that curves around him. His shape and expressions look unusual, and that oddness gives his photos a quiet, creative humor.

Vas didn’t start the account to go viral. He simply wanted to try photography. After he got the Insta360 as a gift, he started playing with it around his cats. Over time, Monch’s calm patience merged with Vas’s experimental style.

Monch shares the page with another cat named Chibi, but Monch (or “Kitty,” as Vas once called him) has his own distinct presence. His quiet personality, combined with strange, eye-catching photos, give him a modern place in internet cat culture.

He does not have a dramatic origin story. His fame comes from creativity and patience. In his world, every shot feels like a little piece of art.
